Lune Valley Charity Rally raises £700

Posted by ricey on June 23, 2006 9:16 AM |

A good turn-out at Lune Valley's rally to-day, £700 approx., was raised. A good turn out of our members also. A few roman bronze coins a couple of hammereds that I know of. Tommy Mac had a nice roman disc brooch with some enamel on it, should clean up nice. Then about 11-00am the rain s came, and many went home.

Hawkeyes travelled down from Dumfries & found a nice 1836 shilling and won a prize in the raffle.

Thanks to the organisers and more money raised for charity.
