I'm looking forward to 2007. It has so much to offer me on a personal note. Next year will be another mile stone for me. Having completed 17 modules of my degree at Liverpool University it leaves me only 7 lmodules left to do before earning my degree in Business/IT. It has been a battle I can tell you. Not only having to contend with a full time job, I've also got two young daughters and a baby son to look after. To complete the degree has been very time consuming however it is something I want to do, and although may not in 2007, it will certainlt be by 2008.

So what else am I looking forward to in 2007. Well hopefully having more involvement in the South Lancs and Cheshire Metal Detecting Club. Unfortunately over the last couple of years time has been of the essence and metal detecting has often taken a back seat. I have, as recent as 2005, been Chairman of this great club but had to resign to concentrate on my studies. During this time Dave Owens (our current Chairman) has done remarkable.
Recently I have assisted Dave in arranging speakers for 4 meetings in 2007. These vary from Archaeologists to Divers of the Titanic. Something I'm sure all our members will enjoy listening to.
So what else? Well probably a new job - I hope. The present company I work for I've been with since 2001. A job I was initially attracted to due to its IT nature is now somewhat different. With my leadership and IT skills which I have developed I believe it is time for a change. This isn't imminent but something that will be looked at more closely as the year goes on.
So my New Year Resolutions for 2007.
** Complete 4 more modules for my degree
** Get a New Job
** Be re-elected to the South Lancs and Cheshire MDC Committee
** Lose a stome in weight
(Another quiet period in the life of Steve Rice)
