R.I.P. Alan Ball

Posted by ricey on April 25, 2007 8:54 AM |

I know this is a detecting website but today is a very sad day for me. Just woke up and saw on the BBC news that an Everton great Alan Ball has died. I never actually saw him play but my Dad did. My era was more Kevin Ratcliffe and Peter Reid.

Alan will be remembered for his League Title Win and World Cup Win.

He will be missed by everybody but rest in peace mate. You gave so much pleasure to everybody over the years.

Regards
Steve

I now live in the states and broke out crying when I read the news. He was my hero as a kid all the memories of going to goodison with my dad flooded back. I will never forget the 68 final how he ran his heart out for Everton that day. Also the corner shop that sold his white football boots all the kids would go in there and just look at them forever. God bless Alan everyone at goodison loved you. The tears are running as I type.
